In the search of a pair of ankle boots, I walked up and down Fifth Avenue in hopes the shoe gods would come to my rescue.
Just as I was beginning to lose hope, it was as though my prayers had been answered. Right beside me displayed in a Zara store window was exactly what I had been searching for.
The camel tan suede two-inch booties detailed
with a gold zipper were calling my name. I rushed into the store and grabbed
the last size six available. Eighty dollars later, I was a proud owner of the
perfect pair of booties.
